What strikes when you enter villa Jenddeal is the size of the garden : it is a park with several traditional buildings each with a different function (bedrooms, TV room, living/ding room and the pool area. The garden is manucure and Dayu Made and her aides are excellent hosts. I could not stop taking pictures ! We were there for a family vacation with our 3 children age 6 to 14. It is fun to wander around in the rice fields and the village far from the agitation of Ubud.
Falling asleep with the sounds of the fountains, the jungle or the songs in the adjacent temple is the best experience. The absence of AC is not a problem as we are still up in the mountains, and I was not bothered by bugs.
We strongly recommend this location for its layouts and the lovely staff and excellent cook.
Serenity, tranquility, peace are all present at this wonderful villa. After driving for what seemed like an eternity, we finally arrived to several smiling and eager Balinese people who were waiting for us. The Villa manager was there as was three of the staff who made our stay comfortable. The grounds are wonderful. Beautiful foliage, greenery and trees surround a thoughtfully laid out compound. What makes this place so wonderful are the staff. Their sole intention is to serve and please. Given their limited English and our non-existent Balinese, we got used to Google translate, sign language and smiles to communicate. A few things I would note - “first world problems” - that some may appreciate being aware of. One of the Villa’s “guest houses” is two story with the sleeping quarters upstairs but bathroom downstairs. Since I am a man “of a certain age” I had to get used to the stairs 3 times a night. The bathroom had a sunken tub with a surround curtain. With no bar or other place to hold onto while stepping down in the tub, I was nervous about slipping. I managed not to but recommend people “of a certain age” think about this if they have stability issues. Since we traveled with a couple 20 years our senior there was no question that they would take the one-story room. There was no AC in the rooms so we slept in a mosquito net. I learned I am a bit claustrophobic so didn’t enjoy the warm, humid still nights next to my wife who still gets hot flashes. But that was better than being bitten or visited by other creatures. I say this not to discourage anyone but to manage your expectations. I would go again. The place is wonderful and a delightful respite from the cacophony at typical resorts. Be prepared to be an hour away from most sights, but the joy of seeing what felt like the real Bali was worth it.
If you would like peace, tranquility and a beautiful stay, stay here! This is just magic...The staff make it. Such beautiful ladies. The food they cook is delicious! They are there for you every step of the way. The surroundings are beautiful greenery, plants, and the sound of birds. This was a magic start to our honeymoon. If you’re in Bali, you need to stay here!
Super green view, well-trainned staff will always fulfill everything you need.
Fresh air and garden everywhere.
Nice furniture and design will amaze you!😁
Recommend for honeymoon or family trip!❤️
If you come to Ubud but not stay here.... you'll regret it!👌
The grounds are filled with amazing gardens kept by the gardener "Agung". Dayu Made and her team cater to your every need, nothing is too much for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night honeymoon stay and made good friends with all the staff. The Bales (buildings) have lots of charactor and are finished to a very high standard. With a great pool and even better Balinese food cooked by the staff, we hope we can visit again in the future.
